NRMC Acute Withdrawal Management

RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE.

Addiction can feel terrifying, isolating & hopeless. At NRMC, our team can assist you by offering medical withdrawal management services in a safe, confidential, supportive atmosphere to start your path to recovery.

What is medically-managed withdrawal?

Patients who are in withdrawal from alcohol and/or drugs are medically stabilized and managed on a medical unit, just like any other patient recovering from surgery or medical condition, preserving dignity and confidentiality.

Using a team approach, we manage withdrawal symptoms and medical conditions throughout the withdrawal period, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.

We offer medical collaboration between the hospital and community referral partners to establish a personalized aftercare discharge plan.l-specific medications to reduce the severity of withdrawal symptoms.

The Service:

  • Requires voluntary admission to the hospital
  • Provides round-the-clock medical care by the hospitalist team & nurses
  • Uses protocol-specific medications to reduce the severity of withdrawal symptoms

Your Commitment:

Individuals seeking treatment must be committed to staying in the hospital until they are medically stable. Typically, this is a 3-5 day stay to monitor your symptoms. Once discharged from the hospital, they must be motivated to continue additional addiction treatment by transitioning to a service located in their community.
