NRMC Foundation Provides More Comfortable Wait

Nevada Regional Medical Center (NRMC) Foundation recently donated more than $3000 to furnish the emergency waiting room with a complete set of new chairs, benches, and tables. The furniture installation was completed in May, replacing all the old furniture and giving the waiting room a comfortable, fresh appearance. The new chairs are an industrial grade, built to bear more weight than the average consumer-grade chair, and covered in a vinyl material for easy cleaning.

“The NRMC Foundation Board of Directors was pleased to find a way we could do something so simple to make such a big difference for the patients of NRMC. We never know when it will be one of us or someone we love who needs to use it,” said Foundation board chairperson, Seth Barrett.

The Foundation raises funds to help support patient care across the NRMC system including its rural health clinics and long-term care facilities. Throughout the year, fundraising events include the Caring with Pride Golf Classic, Designer Purse Bingo, Foundation Gala, and Tree of Shining Memories.
