 Department Manager 
Position Title: Acute Care Nurse Manager

Department:Med/Surg and Intensive Care Units
Position Description: Candidates will be responsible for the daily operations of our 19 bed Med/Surg and five bed Intensive Care Units. Position will manage departmental resources, staff development, staff selection, contribute to a collaborative practice with other disciplines, assume 24 hour accountability and responsiblity for departments. Supervision exercised over RNs, LPNs, PCA/CNA, Unit Secretaries, Technicians and other staff as assigned. Position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.

    Qualifications:
    Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. A Baccalaureate degree in nursing or a nursing degree with a Bachelors degree in management, business, administration, or affiliated field is required. A Masters degree in nursing, management, business, administration, or affiliated field is preferred.
    Experience:Three to five years Nursing experience in a hospital or comparable setting required. Prior managerial or supervisory experience required.
    License Required:MO RN license or eligible
