Todd Fine Diagnostic Imaging Technologist When his mother required rehabilitative treatment, Todd shadowed the physical therapist who worked with her. Todd knew he had a passion for people and wanted to work in healthcare. He received his degree at Labette Community College, where they have a two-year program that accepts 30 students each year. Now Todd helps many different kinds of patients. His job duties consist of x-raying bones, tissues, organ functions and performing brain scans. These types of diagnostics help doctors visualize an irregular condition that may not be apparent on the outside. Todd's work is a key peice of the diagnosis puzzle. He says there is a daily challenge of "thinking outside the box" to acheive a good diagnostic image. Todd knows that each patient will require something different than the last. He finds satisfaction in watching the apprehensions of young patients disappear when they realize the process he will put them through doesn't hurt. Back
