NRMC Welcomes New Therapists
Judy Feuquay, President and CEO of Nevada Regional Medical Center, is pleased to announce the addition of three therapists: Michelle Hudson, Physical Therapist; Annie Thorpe, Occupational Therapist and Zelma Vance, Speech Language Pathologist to the Rehabilitation Services Department.
Prior to joining NRMC, Michelle Hudson was employed as a Physical Therapist at Peak Performance in Springfield, Missouri. There, she managed patients with orthopedic and sports related injuries. Hudson received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Sports Management from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. She earned a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Missouri State University in 2005.
Annie Thorpe was most recently employed as an Occupational Therapist at St. John’s Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri. As an occupational therapist, Annie treats a variety of orthopedic injuries relating primarily to the upper extremity. She is also trained to facilitate rehabilitation to address deficits related to difficulties with activities of daily living. Thorpe received a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Science and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas.
Zelma Vance brings five years of Speech Therapy experience to NRMC. She was most recently employed by the Neosho School District as a Speech Language Pathologist. There, she diagnosed and treated speech and language disorders and prepared individualized education programs for students. Vance received a Master’s Degree in Science from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. She holds the American Speech-Language Hearing Association certificate of Clinical Competency and is a member of the Missouri Speech Hearing Association.

At NRMC, a multidisciplinary team of therapists evaluates each patient to plan an appropriate, individualized course of treatment, with an emphasis placed on one-on-one therapy. A physician’s referral is required prior to treatment. The Rehab department also provides staff for Home Health & Hospice, state facilities, local schools and many community programs.
