NRMC Welcomes General Surgeon Joseph Dodd, M.D. Nevada Regional Medical Center would like to welcome Joseph Dodd, M.D. to their medical staff. Dr. Dodd will join Dr. Weaver in providing general surgery services for the patients at NRMC. He will be located on the 2nd floor of the South Tower; now known as the Professional Practice Clinic. Dr. Dodd is originally from Texas and enjoys Southern and Midwestern values. He is happily married and has 2 children, a 29 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. “We’re feeling very positive about moving to Nevada,” said Dr. Dodd. “It seems like there are a lot of nice people here; our visits have been very warm and friendly.” “I’m a big sportsman,” Dr. Dodd shared. “There are lots of opportunities for that in the area, so that makes a big difference when you’re choosing a place to live.” Both Dr. Dodd and his wife, Shirley, are outdoors-people. He especially likes clay shooting and hunting and she enjoys equestrian sports. Dr. Dodd is an All-American, Board-Certified general surgeon. He attended Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas where he received his Medical Doctorate. He completed his Residency in General Surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. There he served as the Chief Resident in Surgery. “My patients can expect to work with a skilled surgeon. I am in-tune with their needs and expectations. I do what I can to see that their needs are addressed.” Dr. Dodd said. “We are very positive about this move. We are very thankful for the warm welcome we have received thus far and are excited about the future.” NRMC is looking forward to bringing more doctors to Nevada in 2010. The new Professional Practice Clinic will be home to a variety of specialty physicians who will join the Nevada Community in the upcoming months. “We have great things in store for the Nevada community,” said Judy Feuquay, President/CEO of NRMC. “We’re proud to be able to offer such a wide variety of services right here in Nevada.”
