NRMC Laboratory Changes Leadership
After 22 years as Lab Director at Nevada Regional Medical Center, Susan Hoberock was ready for a change. As Hoberock gets back to her roots as a Medical Technologist at NRMC, her torch passes on to the capable hands of Bobby Daugherty.
Hoberock graduated from the University of Arkansas and began her career as a Medical Technologist in Kansas City, Mo where her husband was completing his law degree. “When we made Nevada our home, NRMC became my career home as well,” she said. She has made NRMC her place of work for the last 32 years.
Daugherty has been a Med Tech for 11 years. He graduated first from Pittsburg State University with his bachelor’s degree, then from Wichita State University as a Medical Technologist. He has previously served three years as Lab Director at Allen County Hospital. After working at NRMC for three years, Daugherty began his role as Lab Director on June 13. He plans to honor Hoberock’s tradition of care for his department. “I hope to continue to maintain a high quality and accredited lab as Susan has,” Daugherty said.
Hoberock looks forward to focusing on the scientific aspect of her career and the technological advances the future will bring to the lab. “I know Bobby will do terrific. He has managerial experience and is a very talented individual,” she said. |
