NRMC Adds Rheumatology to Specialty Services Anne Winkler, M.D., Rheumatologist Nevada Regional Medical Center offers a wide variety of services through their Specialty Services Clinic. NRMC developed the clinic to bring specialty doctors to Nevada so patients don't have to travel out of town. NRMC is proud to announce beginning February 20th, rheumatologist Anne Winkler, M.D. will join their team of visiting specialists. Winkler has a full-time practice at St. John’s Clinic for Rheumatology in Springfield, Mo. A rheumatologist is a physician who is qualified by additional training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis and other diseases of the joints, muscles and bones. Rheumatologists also treat certain autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal pain disorders and osteoporosis. There are more than 100 types of these diseases including, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, back pain, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and tendonitis. Some of these are very serious diseases that can be difficult to diagnose and treat. Dr. Winkler will be available the third Saturday of each month at the NowCare Clinic, NRMC’s new walk-in clinic located at 345 South Barrett Street; inside the NRMC Clinical Services Building.
