EMOTIONAL HEALTH?
Nevada Regional Medical Center recognizes that emotional health is essential to optimal well being. Confidence, relationships and physical health can impact and tax a person’s ability to manage without professional support. While coping with these issues feels overwhelming, hope is available.
THE PROGRAM and TEAM
The New Beginnings Inpatient Program is medically supervised and is tailored to meet the individual needs of adult patients (18 years and older) requiring acute psychiatric treatment. The staff is com- posed of a multidisciplinary team including:
· Psychiatrist
· RN’s
· LPN’s
· CNA’s
· Mental Health Technicians
· Therapists
· Psychologists
· Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
· Occupational, Speech and Physical Therapists are also available
THE SERVICES
The Inpatient Program focuses on stabilization, maintaining health and safety, and enhancing the patient’s skills and resources to foster independence, self-confidence and self-reliance. The multi-disciplinary treatment program focuses on the individual patient to determine an individualized treatment and discharge plan. The plan includes recommendations for aftercare, follow up and community resource integration. Specific services that may be provided by the program include:
· Group Psychotherapy
· Family Therapy
· Psychological Testing
· Medication Management
· Psychiatric Evaluations
· Assessments
· Crisis Stabilization
· Consultation Liaison
· Dual Diagnosis
· Patient Education
· Individual Therapy
LENGTH OF STAY
A patient’s length of stay is based on his or her individual needs as determined by a treatment team of experienced, professional staff including a physician Medical Director.
FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS
The Inpatient Program is covered by most insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid.
REFERRALS AND ASSESSMENTS
Referrals may be made by physicians, nurses, family members, clergy, nursing homes, social workers or others concerned about the welfare of an individual. Individuals may also inquire about the program on their own behalf. All patients are assessed by a behavioral health professional and evaluated by a psychiatrist as part of the admission process.
